Jean Adams Burwell Morgan, 81, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home.

A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Thomas and Annie Lee Burwell. Jean was a member of Oxford Baptist Church and retired from Granville County Social Services.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Chris Aho. Burial will be private.

Surviving are a daughter, Robbie Morgan Wrenn (Jim) of Oxford; a grandson, Morgan Adams Wrenn of Oxford; sister, Ruth Williamson of Oxford, and two sister-in-laws, Jean Wade Burwell and Margaret Dean Burwell both of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her husband James Propus Morgan, a grandson, J.W. Wrenn, sisters, Margaret, Anne and Henritta, and brothers, Joe, William, Nat and John Burwell.

Visitation will be held prior to the Memorial Service at the Funeral Home from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
